Empty ship.

Blistered souls of weathered pirates
Enslaved
Lost
In search of trinkets.

Upon exotic seas
Adrift,
A motionless body
In despair
Afloat in acquiescence,
Forgotten
Under golden glare.

Time's unbroken flow
Impelled
Heightened desire,
Eyes narrowed
Tongues lashed
Characters slain by liars.

This lifeless vessel
Spent of valour,
Withholds the secrets
Of human nature.
